Jazz Night start:18:00 Introducing Kat Kyrris & Alex Clarke – Join us at the Grain Store for an evening with exceptional vocalist Kat Kyrris and Alex Clarke as they bring to life songs throughout the golden eras of jazz and soul. Expect to hear music by all of the greats, including: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Etta James and Frank Sinatra, right through to modern classics by Amy Winehouse, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana – even Sean Paul! Meet the musicians Kat is an exceptional vocalist of Greek Cypriot origin, interpreting songs of any genre in her unique style – exploring classic jazz sensibilities with a strong dose of soul and pop swagger. For this special show, Kat will be joined by the superb saxophonist Alex Clarke – a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2020, winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and three-time nominee in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Alex is known to be one of the most in-demand and versatile saxophonists to have emerged on the British jazz scene. For this special event, our chefs have created a seasonal three-course set menu, showcasing the very best of estate-grown and locally sourced produce. The menu is designed to complement the atmosphere of the evening, bringing the summer season to a close with some seriously soulful dishes. Friday 18 September 2026, 6-10pm Booking is essential. Please select seating zone upon booking – please note that arrival time is determined by zoning (please book together if you wish to be seated on the same table) Live jazz begins at 7pm with music continuing throughout the night. Timed Hall Entry TIMED HALL ENTRY - TICKETS INCLUDE ACCESS TO THE HALL & GARDENS Begun in 1595 by Robert Smythson, one of England’s foremost Elizabethan Architects, Doddington Hall was completed in 1600 and has never been sold or cleared out since. An example of a fine late Elizabethan Mansion, it is still a lived-in and much loved family home, alive with history and interest. Over 400 years of unbroken family occupation has resulted in fascinating collections of furniture, weaponry, paintings, ceramics, textiles, household objects, porcelain and a wealth of amusing stories all to be found in and around Doddington Hall. A visit to Doddington offers a unique insight into family life through the ages and the challenges of looking after such an estate in the 21st century. Tickets are timed and we recommend pre-booking your preferred time slot to guarantee entry. You will need to show a copy of your e-ticket when entering via the Gatehouse. Our 12noon slot includes a 45 minute mini tour of the Hall at no additional charge. If you'd like a tour, please ensure you select this time slot. Free entry applies for Doddington Hall Season Ticket Holders and Historic Houses members. 50% off for Art Fund and 2 for 1 CPRE are accepted for the Hall. Please select the relevant ticket type. Valid cards must be shown at the Gatehouse along with e-tickets prior to entry. You are welcome to arrive and explore the Gardens anytime between 10am-4pm on the day of your visit. (Last entry to the Gardens 3pm). Please note that you are only able to gain entry into the Hall at your pre-booked time slot. Please make your way to the front of the Hall no earlier than two minutes before your allocated time to ensure entry. You will then be called through by a member of staff and be able to enjoy exploring the Hall.
