Wilder Safari start:14:00 Walk on the Wild Side at Wilder Doddington. Join us for a guided walk on the wilder side! We will explore the rapidly changing landscape and see the nature that is returning to Wilder Doddington. This is a chance to leave the public footpaths with a member of our Wilder Team for a relaxed exploration, walking 2-4 km. We will marvel at the mosaic of habitats being created by our roaming rare breed cattle, wild Exmoor ponies and curly coated pigs. We may catch sight of a deer, hare or slow worm or two. We will walk into the woodland to see the value of open glades, standing dead wood and other features rarely seen, explaining their value to beetles, butterflies, birds and bats. You will be able to discuss the processes involved in rewilding, species reintroduction and learn about the exciting projects ahead such as the stage zero rewetting ‘Wetter Better’ plans. Depending on the weather and on the location of our keystone animals we may head out by minibus to one or more parts of the estate to walk from there. Aug 12 2026 start:14:00
